Rocketgram, Rocket Mail Experiment, King George V, 1935, “ON SIKKIM DARBAR SERVICE” seal on it, beautiful vignette George V and Queen Mary with their pictorial depiction along with various transportation methods printed, issued in commemoration of Royal Silver Jubilee celebration, text “THE FASTEST MEANS OF TRANSPORT IN ITS INFANT STAGE | MAY 1910 – MAY 1935 | ROCKETGRAM INDIA | ROYAL SILVER JUBILEE | ROCKET SOUVENIR | GOD BLESS THE KING AND QUEEN | ROCKET FEE RUPEES TWO” printed. This vignette is beautifully cancelled by the Red seal “ROCKET MAIL EXPERIMENT | BY SANCTION | SIKKIM DURBAR”. Another seal of ‘TASHI NAMGYAL | FIELD 8/4/35’ in Blue is also seen. It was sent to U.G. Lama, C/o Stephen A Smith, Gangtok as seen hand endorsed on the front, Stephen A Smith’s autograph on the back side with address Gangtok, Sikkim, April 8th 35, superb quality, excellent condition, Rare.
