This is an original early R.T. Frazier hand crafted saddle from Pueblo, Colorado. This saddle features beautiful tooled designs, including scantily clad ladies and the ranches brand. The saddle also has a rare addition of built in saddle bags, as well as R.T Frazier buttons. The silver pieces are heavily tooled and really make the saddle a impressive piece. Robert T. Frazier was born in 1850 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In the mid 1880’s he moved to Pueblo, Colorado and in 1892 he formed a partnership with S.C. Gallup. Frazier was one of the first saddle makers to use catalogs, which made the Frazier saddles famous. In 1917 he was considered to be the largest producer of stock saddles in the U.S. Frazier used a phrase that became his trademark, “Builder of the famous Pueblo Saddle.” At one time he employed over 50 saddle makers. The piece is from circa 1900-1915 and shows overall good condition, with signs of use. Marked, "R.T. Frazier Maker Pueblo, Colo.". Saddle has a 13" seat. Box measurements (shipping measurements) are 24"L x 19" W x 16" H. Also monogramed "HRB".
