Rare Original 1965 Pennzoil Tin Sign Sound Horn
For your consideration is this rare, original 1965 Pennzoil tin sign. The colors on this sign are very vibrant and the lettering is quite readable for being fifty years old! The lower right corner and top left hand corner have a couple small bends, with scratches and bullet holes, but overall the sign is in great condition. The "Sound Horn We'll Open" would have let customers know that even though the gas station service doors were closed during the winter, they were open for business. There are eight mounting holes around the outer lip of the sign for easy mounting or hanging. The sign is marked in the bottom right hand corner reading, "A-M 2-65" which tells you it came from the Allen-Morrison Company (A-M), what location (2), and that it was made in 1965 (65). Overall the sign shows good condition for its vintage age besides the few scratches and bullet holes. The sign measures 32"L x 15"W.*
