Two different very scarce billheads for companies mining desert salt in Nevada for use in mining. 1) Desert Crystal Salt Works. Dateline White Plains Station, CPRR, 1882. White Plains is a ghost town in Churchill County that was founded in the 1870s due to salt deposits. 2) Desert Salt Works. Dateline Brown's Station, CPRR Nev. (Reverse dated 1882). Brown's Station was located 40 miles from Wadsworth on the edge of Humboldt Lake.
