Rare Moore patent .41 caliber rimfire derringer with engraved brass frame, 1st model 4th variation. Serial #5. This variation was numbered in its own range up to approximately 80 total manufactured. Thederringer remains in good to very good condition showing a light patina on barrel with traces of blue mixed in. The frame shows 75% original silver that is thinning with nice patina on the brass that shows through.The barrel shows a few nicks and some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The barrel address is sharp and legible. The top of the hammer and button release are original. From a major old time derringercollector.
