Small but fascinating specimen stone, calcite clay glacial concretion also known as a "Fairy Stone", appearing as a full moon sitting within clouds. Sharon, Vermont origin. These unusual looking but natural specimens, formed in glacial clays, are sometimes referred to as 'fairy stone' concretions. They form as flattened, often multiple, rounded concretions made up of calcite with clay. For those interested in the metaphysical, the name of Fairy Stone is said to come from Native Americans who used them for good luck. These stones embody nurturing energy for the Earth and those upon it. They are children of the Earth Mother and bring to light the concerns for her & her well-being.
