Produced at the Mauser factory in 1934, under the Nazi code system of marking, intended to obscure the extent of German rearmament before the start of open hostilities. Fixed sights, with "K" on the chamber and "S/42" on the toggle. "B 90" proofs on the barrel and faintly on the extension, and S (both block and script) on the extension, frame and other components. Matching numbers on the latch, side plate, safety components, sear, trigger, hold-open, toggle pin, toggle links, extractor, breechblock and firing pin. Checkered walnut grips and nickel magazine with alloy base.

Condition: Fine, with 60% of the faded original blue finish, showing a brown and gray patina on the grip straps, side plate and high edges, bright wear on the muzzle, and some light spotting and handling marks. 50% of the original straw colors remain. Grips are also fine with light pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
