Simply Delightful Majestic High Quality Fine Large Persian Tehran Rug. Made of all natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure high quality baby lambs wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a royal Tehran weave. Tehran being the capital and the commercial center of Iran has never been a center for Rug production. However, the few that are woven are of extreme high quality and artistic workmanship, making them among the most desirable and sought after Persian Rugs. This royal Tehran has a glowing and lively appearance due to its high quality of baby lambs wool pile. Please notice the captivating shade of blue color used in the crowned corners and subsequently repeated in the primary and secondary borders, that is characteristic of Tehran weave. Creases are due to fold and not a defect. It is noteworthy that, where a typical Rug is limited to twelve and sixteen colors, this lovely piece incorporates more than thirty eight different colors, creating an exquisite tapestry of colors that is feast for the eyes. This lovely Tehran is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, and has about 100 knots per square inch that are very well packed.
