This rifle is a "Last Ditch" with the cylindrical bolt knob, simplified fixed inverted "v" front sight without guard, fixed rear peep sight and wooden buttplate. Bayonet lug and mounted with a full one-piece hardwood stock with finger grooves, matching hand guard, and sling swivels mounted on the left side of the barrel band and buttstock.

Serial Number: 78989
Condition:
Fine. The metal surfaces have a dark patina with some pitting on the trigger guard and lower tang. The wood is also good with some scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. There are some gaps between the wood and metal which is normal for the crudely constructed "Last Ditch" rifles. The slightly bayonet defaced Chrysanthemum is otherwise crisp and the markings legible. The action is excellent.
