Rare Lady Knob
The lady with the flowers in her hair is a very rare doorknob. The maker is unknown but the Neo-grec design and details date this beautiful casting to the early 1870s. This doorknob is in very good condition. The lady's face is sharp and her flowers and hairnet show only minor wear. There is a flat spot on the edge at about 10 o'clock and there are some minor dings around the shank. The nicely wrought edgework on the top and reverse is overall very sharp also.
