Rare four gallon hand turned salt glaze churn stamped twice with stencil advertising "Catlettsburg/Pottery, Co". The interior of the churn is lined with Albany slip and has two applied lug handles on the sides. Catlettsburg Pottery was run by John Dillon and Thomas Mar and was located on Louisa Street of Catlettsburg, Kentucky circa 1884. The jug is in good condition with a few kiln burns and a hairline that runs from the top to the base in the back of the piece. Interior flaking of the Albany glaze. Churn displays very well.
