Rare Japanese Proclamation of War showing imperial crest and showing date of December 8th, 1941 and recanting the Japanese reasons for declaring war. These were circulated to important diplomats shortly after war wasdeclared. This particular specimen was collected by a GI shortly after WWII during the occupation era and is signed by Douglass McArthur on the front page, the Commander of the USSR Navy, dated January 27th 1948, andliterally hundreds of other officers, soldiers, of the allied forces- some of them identified to Hiroshima, Tokyo, and other locations all over Japan. The cover of the document shows the imperial seal and is apurplish color, some cracking and slight deterioration, and its partial cardboard cover. A very interesting WWII-era artifact that would be interesting to research. Est: $2,000 - $6,000
