Rare Ithaca model 5E, .410ga, double barrel side by side shotgun, 28” barrels, factory single trigger, beavertail forend, cocking indicators, automatic ejectors, deluxe checkered burl walnut stock, gold inlays on each side of receiver, serial number “458452” made about 1931. The barrels are marked “Best Fluid Steel” beneath the forend, and show factory grade V markings. The gun remains in fine to excellent original condition showing 98-99% original blue, 90-95% original case hardening just toning slightly, fine to excellent fancily checkered burl walnut stocks with just some slight handling and a few marks. The interior is excellent. The stock measures approx. 14-3/4” to the end of the wood, with original buttplate. High grade prewar small bore shotguns are extremely scare and sought after by collectors and this is definitely one of the best in the 5E series. Estimated 1 of 7 made. Est.: $15,000-$30,000
