The included inquiry letter from the Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum identifies this rifle by serial number as having been acquired by the U.S. Cartridge Company for factory cartridge testing on May 20, 1910. The right side of the rifle has the U.S. Cartridge Co. inscription and acquisition date "U.S.C.Co. # 445-5-20-10." Lyman blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight, two-line Standard Arms Co. barrel address, Japanned bronze alloy forearm and buttplate featuring high relief wildlife and logo designs and straight grip walnut stock.

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% plus original blue finish showing some minor thinning (heavier on the magazine). Some tool-like marks are present on the receiver. The stock is fine with some pressure dents and some minor scratches. Mechanically fine.
