Rare High Condition Fox Sterlingworth Brush Gun Shotgun with Ejectors and Original Box and Tags
Made by Savage Arms Company in 1929, which was their first year in production. Gun has No. 3 weight 26" blued Sterlingworth Compressed steel barrels in 12 gauge with 2-3/4" chambers and ejectors with improved cylinder and modified chokes. Case-hardened "Fox Sterlingworth" marked action with double triggers and automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with Bakelite grip cap and butt plate. Gun has matching checkered ejector forearm with friction release. Comes with original box and tags numbered to gun. LOP: 14". DAC: 1-1/2". DAH: 2-1/4". CALIBER: 12 GA. S/N: 122127. CONDITION
Overall very good with 92% original blue, 98% vivid case colors, 98% original varnish with two small dings in butt stock. Excellent bores with mechanics sticky from old oil and grease. Tags are in good condition with box having nice legible label, but missing top label. A hard gun to find in possibly unfired condition.
