Rare Griffin & Howe bolt-action sporting rifle, takedown 3-barrel set, blued finish, select checkered wood stocks in fancy pattern. Gold high relief inlaid floorplate, side mounted Zeiss scope, serial #1910 on bolt handle. Barrels serial numbered 147, 162, and 226. In luggage type carrying case. Barrel 3147 is 21-1/2”, .30-06 caliber. Barrel #162 is 21-1/2” in .35 Whelen caliber. Barrel #226 is 21-1/2” in .400 Wehlen. The rifle is in fine to excellent original condition showing 97-99% original blue, some minor handling and use. The stock shows some darkening, minor storage marks. The bolt is stamped “Hoffman Arms Co” and the scope is numbered 6161. The initials on triggerguard represent W.C. Delano who’s family was related to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
