Condition: Very fine. The pistol shows moderate handling wear and retains approximately 70% of the delicate gold-plated finish. Most of the finish wear is on the contact points of the slide, frame and engraving. The exposed surfaces have a very attractive silver-brown patina. The engraving is sharp and the markings are crisp. The ivory grips are in fine condition and are slightly yellow with age. The grips have no cracks or chips. The magazine retains about 50% of the gold-plated finish. This is a rare example of a deluxe, factory engraved, gold plated Walther Mod. PP pistol with ivory grips. Although the pistol shows handling wear it remains a magnificent example of the pre-war German craftsmanship.
