Rare Fully Automatic Class III "Sales Sample" World War II German MG-34 Medium Machine Gun with Sling

This is a rare example of a German MG-34 medium machine as used throughout WWII by all German forces. These were developed prior to WWII by the Rheinmetall company. They were an excellent and very reliable machine. However they proved to be too costly and time consuming to produce so they were eventually replaced with the later stamped and machined MG-42. These weapons featured all machined parts that were, in many cases, hand fitted with exacting tolerances. This example was manufactured by the BRNO factory in Czechoslovakia in 1945. The top of the barrel jacket is marked "1945/dot/2331a", with the matching serial number "2331" on the top cover, receiver and buttstock assembly, with the barrel and bolt matching another weapon. This is fairly common in these weapons as these parts were discarded before capture. This excellent weapon is complete with the original sights, bipod and leather sling. There is a small old import mark on the underside of the receiver.
