Complete premiere issue of ''Playboy'' magazine from December 1953. Marilyn Monroe graces the cover and full color centerfold of this Volume 1, No. 1 as ''Sweetheart of the Month.'' All points of authenticity are present including black square printed to upper right corner of front cover and a two staple binding. 42pp. magazine measures 8.5'' x 11''. Front cover has foxing in spots, two small blue ink smudges above ''Playboy'' and two small chips affecting Monroe's forehead and hair in black and white photo. Some loosening to covers creating a a 1'' separation spine base. Overall in very good condition and a beautiful example of this highly collectible first issue.
