Scarce first edition, second printing, hardcover octavo book bound in black cloth with printed gilt label on front cover and backstrip; fore edge untrimmed. Minor shelf wear, especially on backstrip, some toning and loose joints at the front and rear boards. Measuring 5.25'' x 8.75'' and 259pp., this a clean copy of Hemingway's second novel in very good condition.
