Manufactured in 1961. This rifle is absent of the standard Winchester Model 61 markings except for the Winchester oval proof on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The barrel has a tapered muzzle and a single steel bead sight and was made without rear sight provisions. The left side of the muzzle is choke marked "22 WMR/MOD" and where the rear sight would normally be is stamped "22 W M R SHOT". The other features are standard and mounted with a 17 groove walnut forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered black plastic Winchester buttplate.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 99% original blue finish with some slight cycling wear on the slide bar and a couple tiny areas of minor spotting on the lower right side edge of the receiver. The wood is also excellent with a couple of minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Writer cannot recall even seeing another one of these!
