Early stoneware Albany glaze pig flask attributed to Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick of Anna, IL, Circa 1880. The molded bottle is in the form of a pig with a hole at the rear, incised eyes and hooves, and unusual hand molded face with painted accents. On the side of the body is incised: Pure Old Rye/In A Hogs - pointing to the rear of the pig. Most Anna Pig Flasks are boars whereas this rare early example is a sow! H 3 1/2", W 7", D 2 3/4.

Condition: Very good overall. Pig flask has a chip on the ear. Otherwise in great condition.
