Early screenplay of the Elizabeth Taylor classic ''National Velvet.'' This typed script, dated 11 November 1936, was originally developed by legendary producer David O. Selznick before later becoming the property of MGM, who released the movie in 1944. The screenwriter here is listed as W.P. Lipscomb, who didn't receive a credit on the finished film, and the cover reads ''Copied by SIP (Selznick International Pictures) Script Dept. 2/16/37''. Pages are mimeographed and organized by sequences lettered A to F for a total of 168 pages. Bound with two brass brads, script measures 8.5'' 11''. Cover shows light creases and smudging; very good condition.
