Rare and Desirable Borchardt Model 1893 Semi-Automatic Pistol, with case and accessories, #1295, 7.62x25mm Borchardt, 7-1/2'' barrel, blue finish with straw and niter-blue small parts, finely checkered walnut grips with smooth border, right side of frame is marked with 1st Type ''System Borchardt.Patent.'' markings; top of toggle marked ''D.R.P./No. 75837'' denoting patent; ''Deutsche Waffen-Und Munitionsfabriken/Berlin'' to right side of upper receiver. In case with combination shoulder stock/holster, as well as original screwdriver, cheekpiece, lubricating tin, magazine hold-open device/oiler. This later production variant was mfg'd by DWM after their merge with DRP. Condition is excellent with small areas of added factory type rust blue. Grips with very minor flattening to checks and only the lightest pressure dings. Magazine hold-open device and combination oiler is a modern reproduction, as is cheekpiece assembly. Action functions as designed, bore remains bright. Original case shows scuffs, minor losses and repairs. Leather holster with moderate crazing and general wear. An excellent example of an early successful semi-automatic pistol. Est.: $20,000-$40,000. (Antique)
