Rare Copper Medallion commemorating the inauguration of the monument Mariette on July 16th 1882. Francois Auguste Ferdinand Mariette was a French Egyptologist born on Feb. 11 1821 in Boulogne-Sur-Mer and dies January 18th 1881 in cairo Egypt.  This Medal comes in its original round case and has an impressive diameter of 70mm and weighs 150 grams. The medallion is in pristine condition and has lustrous chocolate brown surfaces.
