Rare Colt SAA revolver, .44 Rimfire cal., 7-1/2” barrel, nickel finish, period ivory grips, #1116 in overall very good to fine condition showing approx. 80% period nickel finish with loss confined primarily to the straps and ejector rodhousing, sharp markings, good bore and action, beautiful ivory grips; accompanied by two factory letters dated Sept. 24, 1996 and Sept. 6, 2013, both confirming caliber, one confirming barrel length, one stating finish as blue with woodgrips; both indicating shipment to Schuyler, Hartley & Graham, New York, N.Y. on November 3, 1877 in a shipment of 50 of the same type guns.
