Rare Colt 1851 Navy Double Patent Stamped Conversion Revolver, #59545, .38 CF cal., 7-1/2'' barrel, blue and case hardened finish, one-piece walnut grips. Marked with the double patent marks over U.S. markings. A similar revolver is pictured on page 226 of '''51 Colt Navies'', by Nathan L. Swayze. The top patent number is for C.B. Light scuffing and varnish loss to grips. Action is tight, bore is bright. Est.: $3,000-$5,000. (Antique)
