Rare Collectible Fine handmade Persian Baluchi Runner. 100% Natural vegetable, dye, hand woven, finest baby lambs wool pile on cotton foundation. There are two important Baluchi Rug types, woven by members of two major Baluchi tribes, known for their exceptional Rug weaving. This is a rare Yaghoub-Khani Baluchi Rug of Yaghoub-Khani tribe. The background field is adorned with motifs and symbols that are representative of the weavers everyday life experience and cultural impressions, namely prosperity, good fortune, fertility and some even to ward off the evil eyes. Please also notice the lovely pattern of multiple medallions and its solid void impression that it creates and its subsequently movement. Yaghoub-Khani and Ghazi- Dokhtar are the two major Baluchi tribes that are located in the south-eastern part of Iran. They are known for their exceptional Rug weaving.
