Presented in this lot is this collection of Rare Cheyenne Frontier Days Memorabilia from 1911, 1929, and 1930. Cheyenne Frontier Days is an outdoor rodeo and western celebration in the United States, held annually since 1897 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It bills itself as the "World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo and Western Celebration." The event, claimed to be one of the largest of its kind in the world, draws nearly 200,000 annually. This Rare collection includes a 1911 5-star sheriff's style badge with the Frontier Days logo "Bucking Horse and Rider" and longhorn top; a 1929 photo postcard of nine cowgirls; and lastly a large Iva-Mae Bakelite Flapjack Powder Compact featuring the Cheyenne Frontier Days name and logo, "Bucking Horse and Rider". Clayton Danks, the winner of three Cheyenne Frontier Days competitions prior to 1910, is the model cowboy on the horse Steamboat on the Wyoming state trademark, the "Bucking Horse and Rider".
