Featured in this lot we have a rare Charlie Russell bronze memorial plaque originating from the 1930's to 1940's. This plaque shows solid bronze construction and depicts a side shot of Charlie Russell wearing his cowboy hat. Charles Marion Russell, born March 19th, 1864 in St. Louis Missouri and died on October 24, 1926 in Great Falls Montana. Russell is known for his paintings of cowboys, Indians, and western landscapes, as well as crafting bronze sculptures. The plaque is marked below Russell with a painters pallet and reading "In Memory". The piece is free of any makers marks or signatures. The bronze shows good condition overall and measures 8 3/4" tall by 6" wide. Very similar to the Charles M. Russell self portrait.
