Condition: Very good. The metal surfaces, except the backstrap, have a smooth gray patina with traces of the original case colors on the rear sides of the frame. The trigger guard and backstrap retain 90% untouched original silver plating with scattered minor flaking, some minor blistering, high edge wear and some darkening with age. The grip has had a coat of varnish applied and remains fine with most varnish, a chip on the right toe and lower edge, some lower edge wear and a few minor dings and dents. The cylinder scene is about half visible and the markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. The shoulder stock is very fine with some flaking of the original varnish and scattered minor dings and scratches. 98% of the original silver remains with high edge wear on the buttplate and a few minor scratches, with areas beginning to darken with age. The bullet mold and cleaning rod are very good showing minor pitting, the cap tin retains much of the original finish and the flask is very good. The case is very good, with the exception of one compartment wall separated, the lining is fine and the exterior shows a few minor dings and scratches. The label on the inside of the lid is mostly intact and shows some stains. A solid example of a rarely seen Hartford London Model 1851 Navy revolver with original matching stock!
