This broadsheet measures 17.5" x 11.25", printed on both sides, with a four-column layout. Featuring a full accounting of the treaty between the "French Republic and the U. States of America." Signed in print on page two by Joseph Buonaparte, C. P. Fleurieu, Roederer, Oliv. Ellsworth, W. R. Davie, and W. V. Murray. Lightly toned top left corner which is slightly torn, somewhat rough edges along left (inner) side, not near nor affecting any print. A most historic broadside reporting the treaty with France under John Adam's administration, which averted an actual all-out war with France. Lot:253
