Rare Russian timepiece, dating from around the 1960's. The dial signed SEKONDA but the movement is a high grade SU, ( Soviet Union), 18 jewels LEVER escapement mechanism, a timepiece from the Tscheljabinsky Watch Factory. Open-faced, measuring 45mm diameter, the case seemingly in steel. To the rear is a bold, geometric engined design, typical Deco revival decoration. * has a shiny purple patina. The dial is white with stylish, Arabic numerals, blue steeled 'beetle' hands and a sub-seconds dial at the 6 O'Clock position. Dial signed ' SEKONDA ', ' 18 Jewels ' & ' Made in USSR '.Â
