Rare 1945 Production Nazi Occupation Proofed Norwegian Model 1914 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Manufactured at Kongsberg for the Norwegian military, the factory and it's output fell into the hands of the Germans in 1940. In 1945, the final year of the occupation, fewer than 1,000 Model 1914 pistols were manufactured. Fixed sights, with the slide marked with the "Crown/K" and "WaA84" proofmarks as well as "11.25m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914 -- No. 30157" in one line on the left side and "1945" on the reverse. The frame is also marked with the serial number just above the trigger, with the recoil spring plug and hammer blank and the full or partial number repeated on the other small components. Smooth trigger, checkered thumb safety and slide catch. With checkered diamond pattern grips and a lanyard ring magazine.

Manufucture: Norwegian
Model: 1914
BBL: 5 inch round
Stock:
Guage: 11.25 mm
Finish: matte black
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 30157

Very fine, with 95% of the original phosphate finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, areas of gray patina and scattered handling marks. A bright polish has been performed on the exposed areas of the barrel, with the number restamped on the underside. The trigger, both safeties and the mainspring housing were originally numbered ".156" and had the "6" stamped over with a "7"; though not confirmable, the proximity of the numbers could suggest a wartime factory error. Grips are very good, with some dents and wear along the edges. Mechanically excellent.
