Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of the Benjamin & Weaver Cattle Company, Cheyenne, Wyoming Territory. Incorporated October 31st, 1885. Sewn booklet, 6" x 8", 12pp, printed wrap. We were unable to determine whether this company sold their 5,000 shares of stock, or how long it continued to function. It was overshadowed by the larger interests in and around Cheyenne. Its board of trustees contained the "usual suspects," besides William Weaver and Horatio Benjamin, William Kendall, Lemuel Smith and Lemuel Smith, Jr. are named (see other lots in this sale).

The Thomas Minckler Collection of Western Americana
