Randall No. 2-7 ''Fighting Stiletto'', 7'' blade with early low logo, brass double quillion hilt, early five-thick spacer stack, stacked leather washer handle, polished aluminum pommel cap with brass hex nut, and very early folded brass lanyard loop, placing this knife's production approx. 1943-1945. Scabbard is early and unmarred from Southern Saddlery, with handle type keeper strap, brass snap, and steel throat rivets. Condition: Blade shows lightly cleaned pitting. Leather handle has one very small compression spot, and upper hilt spacer with small loss. Leather wrist thong appears to be original but may be slightly later. Scabbard is good to very good, although stone pocket has been removed (a common in-theater modification), brass snap appears to be a more modern replacement. Keeper strap and belt loop show considerable crazing with two small tears beginning just above throat rivets. Est.: $2,800-$3,500.
