Don Ramón Músquiz (1797–1867) was the Governor of Coahuila and Texas from 1830 to 1831. This 1831 Ramon Musquiz signed letter, acknowledging the Goliad Cholera epidemic. One page of one leaf, 6" x 7.75", Bexar, March 29, 1831, in Spanish to the alcalde at Goliad. In this letter, Musquiz acknowledges a report about the smallpox situation in Goliad, and he is very pleased that the sanitary commission is constantly working to relieve the epidemic. 1828 Musquiz was appointed political chief of the Department of Texas by the governor of Coahuila and Texas, serving until 1834.
