22 1/4" tall, 13" long. Ralph Crawford (late 20th century) was active/lived in Idaho. Ralph Crawford is known for Sculptor-western, wildlife, figure. Ralph Crawford's dramatic subjects include historic Native American images, wildlife and cowboy figures of the old west. He is recognized worldwide for his bronze physique sculptures. He has also created artwork in pewter, poly-resin, terra cotta, alabaster and paper, along with paintings in oil and acrylic. Born in Southern California, Crawford spent part of his childhood in Idaho. By the age of 7, Crawford knew that he was an artist and began drawing and perfecting his skills. He married and had four children. To escape the escalating growth in Southern California, the family moved to a small farm above Lewiston, Idaho in 1960. Crawford has had multiple careers including a roofing business, winemaking, taxidermy, and bodybuilding. As he pursued these interests, he developed a deep understanding of animal forms, muscle groups and body structure. Crawford and his wife Ann continue to live on the small farm above Lewiston, Idaho in a home he designed and built himself. Some of his children and grandchildren are also artists.
