On the 25th of September, 1869 two companies came together to form the Chicago & South Western Railway Company. 2) Two Chicago & Rock Island Rail Road Co. #377 for 10 shares to JD Whitney in 1853 and #381 for 1 share to Henry Flagg in 1853. Black print on blue paper. Signed by secretary Henry Flagg. The Chicago & Rock Island Rail Road was a successor to the Rock Island & La Salle Railroad and a predecessor to the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad. 3) Two Illinois Central Railroad Company construction bonds. #1021 and 037 issued in 1852.City: County: State: IL
