(Railroad) Collection of approximate 300 DsS, Union Pacific Railroad pay vouchers, mostly 1p each, 1897, 4to, "Union Pacific System" letterheads, from Omaha, Nebraska. Signed by various officials. A small sampling of expenses include: "injuries received...while employed as laborer"; "transfering Baggage and Freight...at Salt Lake City"; "One cross breed Horse...killed...by Train"; "Water furnished...Oregon Short Line"; "commissions paid on tickets"; "Road Tax"; "repairs to cars"; "amount expended in...securing business via the Chicago, Union Pacific and Northwestern Line"; "paid H. Sling, Chinese Emigrant Agent"; etc. Comes in a lightly bound volume, where the first page reads "...Audited Vouchers, Paid, April 19 to Apr 24, 1897, 5950 to 6299." Exterior shows wear, with binding almost completely gone. Interior shows average soiling. Overall documents are VG. $1,000-1,500
