(RUBY, JACK)
(1911 - 1967) Dallas nightclub owner who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald following Oswald's assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. A most unusual and unique Ruby item, a 7"" x 5"" b/w photograph, illegally taken by his brother EARL RUBY, showing Ruby in side profile while being held in the Dallas County Jail in 1964 !! The shot shows a rather beleaguered Ruby seated in a cell under the watch of a man in a dark suit, with Ruby looking towards the camera with a grim look on his face. Docketed on the verso in hand of his brother, Earl: ""I took this picture of Jack in 1964 in the Dallas County Jail. Earl Ruby, Jack Ruby's Brother"". A most rare and unusual Ruby relic, made so by the widespread ban of photographing inmates! In fine condition, ideal for display.
