RR Auction's annual autumn Space sale features an extraordinary assortment of nearly 700 lots, including the first-ever public auction of an Apollo Guidance Computer (plus other items from the collection of MIT software engineer Don Eyles), a Book of Mormon carried to the moon by John Young for NASA's astronaut photographer, Edgar Mitchell's lunar surface-worn PLSS backpack strap, Gemini and Apollo spacecraft hand controllers, a variety of space suit parts, and a multitude of rare meteorites—including actual pieces of the moon! Autographs also abound, with signed photos of the Apollo crews and moonwalkers like Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, Wernher von Braun's handwritten calculations for a Mars mission, and a huge variety of other interesting formats.
