Beginning with a selection of fantastic early American history—the Founding Fathers and Revolutionary War—RR Auction’s July Fine Autograph and Artifact sale boasts over 1,000 lots. Top items include a 1776 autograph letter by General George Washington, a document from rare Declaration signer George Taylor, a book from the personal library of Thomas Jefferson, and a manuscript by John Jay, tracking claims by New York’s Loyalists. An additional special highlight of the auction is an exceedingly rare autograph letter by Protestant Reformer Martin Luther, dated 1543. Other lots of significance are letters by Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King, Jr., Horatio Nelson, Lord Byron, and Barack Obama.
