¼ plate tintype of a man, identified on a label on the back as “Myron Newton Civil War veteran.” Of the three with that name who survived the war, two had very brief service. This is probably Myron J. Newton of Worcester Mass who had extensive service with the 3d regiment of the Rhode Island Heavy Artillery (and other duties, including a Colored Troops unit.) Case has three corner chips, the most visible at the lower right corner of the cover (and the scan.)
