<B>ROBERT WOOD (1889-1979)</B></I><BR>Untitled Buckeye Painting, late 1920s<BR>Oil on artist board<BR>12in. x 24in.<BR>Unsigned, accompanied by letter of authenticity from Violet Sigoloff (Robert Wood's daughter)<BR><BR>As described in the previous lot, this smaller "Buckeye" painting was also given to Sue Wisnoski's parents by Robert Wood. It, too, was unsigned and brought to the Sigoloff Gallery for authentication in 1976. In a letter accompanying the appraisal, Robert Wood's daughter identifies the location of the painting as the Tennessee River.<BR><BR>Provenance:<BR>Acquired by descent from the artist by the present owner<BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> Good original condition without restorations or inpainting. Minor scratches and a small loss to the artist board in the lower left corner. Artist board is slightly warped.
