Upon moving to San Antonio, Robert Wood developed a close friendship with Jose Arpa. Arpa, who's bright sun-filled landscapes earned him the nickname "Sunshine Man," transformed Robert Wood's style and technique. Even more so than his light-filled bluebonnet paintings, this canvas shows the profound effect Jose Arpa had on Robert Wood's painting.<BR><BR>Provenance:<BR>Acquired by descent from the artist by the present owner<BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> Excellent original canvas. No lining. Clouds have been strengthened with over paint. Craquelure has been lightly and delicately (finely) inpainted.
