This differs from most bluebonnet compositions, where objects such as trees or farm houses frame the sides, and draw the eyes to the relatively vacant center. In this painting, the eyes are drawn to the center because the stately old oak tree dominates the scene. There is no doubt Porfirio Salinas could paint the stately Texas oak tree better than just about any artist.<B>Condition Report:</B> Excellent original condition. There is cracking in the sky, but the paint is well adhered.
