<B>RHODOCHROSITE & QUARTZ</B></I><BR> <I>Hedgehog Pocket, Main Stope Drift, Sweet Home Mine, Mount Bross, Alma District, Park County, Colorado</B></I><BR>This specimen is a mass of sharp, bright pink Rhodochrosite rhombohedrons with the occasional quartz crystal accent. Rhodochrosite specimens from the Sweet Home Mine are a modern classic. Because the mine has been permanently closed, and because fine specimens are highly prized, it is proving to be more and more difficult to obtain quality specimens such as this. This specimen bears the mining company's original inventory number SH-4133.
