IN “WEAPONS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION”. Cal. 55. NSN. 12 3/4" Overall. Bbl. 7" tapered rnd. w/ London proofs & “CP” cartouche of London maker Charles Pickfatt, circa 1760. Pistol is brass mounted, walnut stock w/ beaver tail moldings. REFERENCE: This gun, from the Warren Moore collection, is pictured & described on page 28 of his 1967 text Weapons of the American Revolution. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: scan copy of reference book page. CONDITION: very good overall, complete & original, cock screw appears replaced, iron is a mottled gray patina w/ pitting obscuring most of lock marking, brass cleaned, light mustard patina. Stock is sound w/ hand worn patina. Mechanically crisp w/ smooth pitted bore. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of John "Tim" Breth Jr. (01-17802/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
