REMINGTON CONVERSION MUSKET AND BAYONET.
US Model 1816 musket, .69 caliber, 42" round barrel, walnut stock with cartouche, Remington Maynard tape primer conversion, dated 1858, buttplate marked "US," original ramrod and bayonet.
These conversions were done at the Frankford Arsenal, Philadelphia, using Remington-supplied Maynard primer locks and percussion bolsters.
